10 tricks make visitors your own

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Whenever a webmaster is coming up with a website, its primary goal is to get maximum visitors. And for that, we usually choose 2 major ways:

  1. Placing Ad: A cost-effective strategy on which you may have to spend huge amount of dollars.
  2. Optimizing in Search Engine: A time-consuming strategy.

By applying any one of the strategies, you start getting visitors and now it’s the actual time to earn profit, i.e. R.O.I (either your investment is dollars or it is time)

Now you need to think about making visitors yours. Let me share with you the top 10 powerful tricks which can make it happen.

  1. Create a specific Custom Landing page for each specific product advertisement or for each particular word that is being searched.
  2. Do not include navigation bar on the landing page or at least try to minimize the links to other resources, which are not relevant to particular landing page.
  3. Try to avoid using your home page as a landing page for the particular searched word or advertisement. If your visitor lands on your home page clicking on a particular word, it may happen that they may stay longer in the site and check out more pages. But it creates a possibility that they won’t make a purchase.
  4. If your site has the registration form or any signup form then try to make it smaller in size. Asking too many at first short will affect in signup.
  5. In the registration form if you’re asking for email then include email privacy information stating that you won’t share their information with others.
  6. One of the most primary factors is your site design - It should be simple, clear, uncluttered and easy-to-read.
  7. Make the text of your site readable. Keep the font size of the text at least 10 points.
  8. If you have any product to sell, then having a bigger and more detailed image can incline the visitor towards making the purchase.
  9. At the time of purchase, if you are asking for the buyer’s credit card number, then placing 3rd party endorsement such as “Veri-Sign Secured” on the page will give him a confidence to buy.
  10. Keep focus on basic requirement. Online visitors are just like brick and mortar in some ways. They will return if you can provide –
    1. An easy way of return.
    2. Excellent speedy service.
    3. Wide selection of products.

How to make your site or blog talkable?

Monday, August 13th, 2007

First I would like to speak about the concept of being talkable. We can define it as “everyone is talking about you, or your product or site to others’

Is it possible?

Yeah, definitely we can make our website or blogs talkable by implementing Forum.

Oh No!
“Forum, it’s too tough to manage. The system is too complex” – that’s what I often hear people saying.

But what if we keep provisions where

  • You do not have to manage.
  • The system is too simple.

Imagine just a 3 line code helping you to implement forum in your site!! And our experts will then manage your Forum. :D

Amazing!!! Isn’t it? But quite possible. Now we have a tool named “Mini Forum” which can make it possible. So, you can have your own forums without loosing a single visitor.

What do you say? Isn’t it something that can make your site talkable?
